About us.
Welda and Philip are the owners and your hosts. They know the area and its treasures well. You are welcome in our house and feel free to let us know how we can make your stay more enjoyable. The house was built 100 years ago and has been a 4-star guesthouse for 25 years becoming a landmark in the area. We treasure our guests, and many have become friends.

"The location was great - set off on a quiet street, but near enough to the main road that we were able to walk t cafes/restaurants for food and down to the Sea Point promenade for a walk. We didn't use the kitchen (except for a great coffee using the french press), but a peak in the cupboard showed plenty of pots and pans in case we'd wanted to. The owner welcomed us very warmly. It's clear they put lots of care into decorating and there were plenty of personal touches in the room. Would definitely stay again!"

"Our host, Welda, was amazing. We received a very warm welcome. Arrived without our luggage : "delayed" - then "missing", and she went above and beyond to help us eventually receive our luggage back and meanwhile helped out with items we didn't have. She also arranged a fun guide at a reasonable price for a day tour, and our other transport requirements."

"The room is really perfect, very comfortable bed, there's a fridge, microwave, cutlery etc, even if it's a b&b!! So you can bring something to cook in the evening if you don't feel like going out. Very clean and really nice people. Excellent location to reach any place. Even with Uber of course.. ADORABLE the two white cats. Excellent value for money."

Children of all ages are welcome at Cape Nelson, subject to availability of selected child-friendly rooms and equipment that can accommodate a child sharing with parents. On request, we put a proper standard single bunk bed / and or cot, into these rooms. Please let us know in advance.
